The American Journal of Botany - the flagship journal of the Botanical Society of America, publishes peer-reviewed, innovative, significant research of interest to a wide audience of plant scientists in all areas of plant biology.

The Great Lakes Botanist - A Journal of North American Botany - published by the Michigan Botanical Club

Michigan Botanist Online - Online searchable past issues of the "The Michigan Botanist- A Journal of Great Lakes Botany".

Castanea - journal of the Southern Appalachian Botanical Society publishes papers relating to the botany of the Eastern United States. 

Rhodora - This peer-reviewed journal is devoted primarily to the botany of North America and accepts scientific papers and notes relating to the systematics, floristics, ecology, paleobotany, or conservation biology. The quarterly publication is available by subscription and to members of the New England Botanical Club. 

The Journal of the Torrey Botanical Society (until 1997 the Bulletin of the Torrey Botanical Club), the oldest botanical journal in the Americas, has as its primary goal the dissemination of scientific knowledge about plants (including thallopyhtes and fungi).

North Woods Native Plant Society - This organization is located the in western upper peninsula of Michigan and northern Wisconsin.

Michigan Natural Features Inventory - The mission of MNFI is to deliver the highest quality information that contributes to the conservation of biodiversity, especially rare and declining plants and animals and the diversity of ecosystems native to Michigan.

Michiana Orchid Society - The Michiana Orchid Society meets the second Saturday of each month from September through May at the Centre Township branch of the St. Joseph County Public Library. Visitors are welcome.

Cinncinnati Wildflower Protection Society - Ohio-based group offering field trips and support for wildflower preservation.

Plant it Wild - Plant It Wild is an independent, non-profit, native plant group based in Benzie and Manistee counties in northwest lower Michigan.  They promote the use of native plant species by producing educational materials available at our meetings, booths, presentations, and through our website. Programs are offered from May through September featuring a wide array of speakers and topics on native plants. When possible, native plant material is offered at our meetings. Plant It Wild members maintain several native plant demonstration gardens in the area.

Sarett Nature Center - Located in Benton Township, in the Southwest corner of Michigan, over 10 miles of trails, some ADA compliant, nature center, and a wheelchair accessible tree top tower.

Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve - Located in Niles, MI (Southwest MI), Fernwood is a special place where people, plants, and nature come together. Beautiful gardens surrounded by forest are tucked into a landscape of 105 acres of cultivated and natural areas along the scenic St. Joseph River valley.

Love Creek County Park - Love Creek County Park, Berrien County, MI (Southwest MI) offers groomed, lighted cross country ski trails and naturalist services.

Warren Woods State Park - One of the best examples of beech-maple forest in Michigan.

Warren Dunes State Park - Nearly 2,000 acres of dunes, forest, and beach. Camping, ski and hiking trails.

Grand Mere State Park - Dunes, dense forest, interdunal wetlands, and more.
