Making your Hotel Reservations
You will be
making room reservations on your own.
Everyone including students should call the Holiday Inn directly at
219-879-0311. Identify yourself as attending the Michigan Botanical Club’s
Spring Foray (Code is “MBC”) to be eligible for the special rate of $79 per
room (single or double) per night, plus tax. Cots are available for $8 per
night. If you wish to share a room to further reduce costs, make your
roommate plans first and provide the hotel with the names of those sharing
the room with you. The SWC registrar will maintain a list of people who wish
to share a room with someone. Call Lynn at 269-646-3043 for contacting a
roommate. Based on prior experiences, the SWC suggests that MBC chapters
consider giving the scholarship money to the graduate student (early
enough) to make their own reservations, meal and transportation plans. This
avoids much confusion. The Holiday Inn’s deadline for room reservations is
April 26, 2006.
The Holiday Inn is
located on US 421 (5820 Franklin St.) , just North off I-94 at exit 34.
Coming from all directions most will be using I-94. The Holiday Inn is a
full service facility providing a guest laundry, recreation center, exercise
facility, sauna, whirlpool, cable and high-speed internet access. Located
within the hotel is Damon’s Grill serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
On-site registration will be in the lobby just outside the ballroom on the
first floor. This is also the location for our evening programs and meals
for the weekend.
Your registration form and payment should be mailed
to:
Lynn Steil
12085 Dutch Settlement Rd.
Marcellus, MI 49067
If you have questions call Lynn at
269-646-3043 or e-mail lsteil@dowagiacschools.org.
