  • WEDNESDAY, September 16, 2009, 7:30 p.m.“LANDSCAPES AND GARDENS WITH A SENSE OF PLACE” by Darrel Morrison, Landscape Designer. This is a joint program with Matthaei Botanical Gardens,  the Michigan Botanical Club, Wild Ones, and the Washtenaw Audubon Society.
  • Monday, October 19, 2009 7:45 p.m. -“MT. RAINIER – SUB ALPINE PLANT SURVIVAL” by Ruth Graves.
  • Monday, November 16 – “MEDICINAL USES OF PLANTS ” by Bronwen Gates, PhD.

Winter 2010 meetings

  • Monday, January 18, 2010 “THE GREAT LAKES:  MORE PRISTINE, DECLINES IN ALGAE, ZOOPLANKTON, AND THE FISHERY” presented by Dr. David Jude
  • Monday, February 16 – "BOTANY AND NATURAL HISTORY ON OLD FARM LAND - JEWELS, POTENTIAL AND CHALLENGES"– Jim Mohr and Bev Walters. Joint with Wild Ones.
  • Monday, March 15 – “WINTER WOODY PLANTS” – Don Drife
  • Monday, April  19 – “INSECTS AS POLLINATORS” – Mark O'Brien

General Information about Meetings

  • Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings which are held on the 3rd Monday of the month,  September-April, excepting December.
  • Meetings start at 7:45 pm and are held in the auditorium of Matthaei Botanical Gardens, 1800 N. Dixboro Rd., Ann Arbor, MI
  • For field trips, participants meet at Matthaei Botanical Gardens (unless otherwise noted) and carpool.  No preregistration is necessary.  Be prepared for rain or shine or snow, etc.
