2007 Fall Field trips

  •  Sunday, September 30, Shanghai Prairie, 1:00 p.m.  Aunita Erskine, leader.  Please meet at the west parking lot at Matthaei Botanical Gardens at 1 pm and we will carpool to the site. Please wear long pants and shoes that may

2007-2008 Meetings

  •  Monday, September 17  The Old Growth Forest, Birds and Natural History of Michigan's  Huron Mountains by Michael Kielb,  a lecturer in biology at Eastern Michigan University. Michael has written extensively about birds, insects and natural history, including co-authoring of the locally well-known book, Birds of Washtenaw County.  He also teaches Adult Education classes at the MBGNA.
  • Sunday October 7.  Annual Fall Meeting at Kalamazoo Nature Center, Kalamazoo MI
  • Monday, October 15  Forensic Botany -The Ice Man of the Alps  Dennis Woodland, Professor of Botany, Andrews University, Berrien Springs, MI

General Information about Meetings

  • Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings which are held on the 3rd Monday of the month,  September-April, excepting December.
  • Meetings start at 7:45 pm and are held in the auditorium of Matthaei Botanical Gardens, 1800 N. Dixboro Rd., Ann Arbor, MI
  • For field trips, participants meet at Matthaei Botanical Gardens (unless otherwise noted) and carpool.  No preregistration is necessary.  Be prepared for rain or shine or snow, etc.
